Dhak Bahiri – Scariest hike in Maharashtra

This particular trek, we are doing it in a different style all the people that you are seeing in the video are the batch mates from my Basic Mountaineering Course and this time we are not carrying our tents with us so we will be requesting locals to let us stay in their home for 2-3 consecutive nights and the aim is to do a really really good one and a less known range trek We started our trail at 08:30 am from Phanasrai (Name of the base village) and “Phanas” in Marathi refers to “Jacfruit” and “Rai” refers to a “dense forest” and on this trail also you can see these route markers which will guide you through your route We are walking on the ridge So we are up close to Dhak bahiri in order to reach there we will climb up this hill go to that plateau and descend down and we’ll go towards the left, in this area We have to enter the area between the pinnacle and the rock face This is where we need to go So now the trek has become little interesting The guy with the best calves in the group So guys after getting down from this place You’ll have the valley towards your left and we have to go on this side so for people’s safety and iron road has been installed here Yeah, this is very tough I guess Hey, don’t hold the rope Without holding rope you can’t do it πŸ˜€ Guys, this is a point where we would recommend everyone to just remove their sandals to have a better grip Easy So we are in the last section of the trail Now, there is no other option except coming through this ladder It is really challenging for me We made it It is really really tough yaar for me The caves are not that clean It feels very sad when you climb up this high and you see the place in ruins So we are starting our descend It is really very tough for me πŸ˜€ You are lying I’m not lying brother So guys it has been an amazing experience from here we will be heading towards Bhimashankar I’ll tell you the place where the route has a small diversion Lets go We are on the move Guys don’t trust these ropes Most of the time, try to come down, using holds Guys the trek is not tough However, it may become extremely slippery during monsoons. but all you need to do is be little careful, that’s it. So we are back to the point where the route actually diverted We came from this side and we went here for Dhak we came back and now we are going to go this side to continue our Lonavala to Bhimashankar trail This is amazing Hey, where did the waterfall go? What is this? This is fashion πŸ˜€ I was trekking in cut-sleeve t-shirt yesterday This is the result and nature has given me punishment

  1. "Terrifying"
Disclaimer : watch this video at your own risk cause it might take your breath away.
PS. Not for the "faint hearted" or people with any kind of heart condition or "diarrhea". πŸ˜‚

  2. Hey bro, i liked the way you explore forts or peaks especially not hiring guide and making your way by reading stuffs before trek. Well if you need any help for exploring technical climb or a peak will be glad to help you.
    Stay Raw Stay Wild
    Trek hard

  3. The trail is just amazing!! And loved the way you've captured it !! πŸ™‚ I badly want to go for a trek here πŸ™‚ eagerly waiting for part two πŸ˜‰

  4. Jaw dropping moments through out the trek on the rock face. Amazingly captured. Seemingly tougher hence would suggest to add few fun elements as you do to push people to do this instead them getting afraid to face this. πŸ™‚

  5. Love the videos! I hate heights though, I'm very acrophobic. The wide angle doesn't help either!

Also sandals on that smooth rock surface? I wouldn't trust that. Not enough grip. One little loss of traction…

What kind of sandals have that kind of grip :p

  6. Wtf you looks. Like my bhaiya and but his name is monu and his real name is man na man 😊😊😊☺vandra πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
