Chance for Saturday storms to be severe

137 DAYS. IF YOU LOOKED OUTSIDE EARLIER
YOU COULD SEE THE MASSIVE
CLOUDS, THIS WAS IN INDIANOLA
THIS MORNING. THIS WAS TWEETED AT ME THIS
MORNING, IT WOULD BE NICE IF
THIS CLOUD STAYED AWAY. A BIT OF A DREARY ONE, AND COOL. 50 DEGREES AND THE WIND IS
RELATIVELY LIGHT. NOT GIVING US A WIND CHILL, BUT
IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE, MAYBE THROW
ON A LIGHT JACKET. ACROSS THE STATE YOU CAN SEE
CLOUDS ARE PRETTY FORMIDABLE OUT
THERE, SOUTHEASTERN PORTIONS OF
THE STATE ARE THE ONLY SPOTS
SEEING ANY KIND OF CLEARING AND
EVEN AN ISOLATED SHOWER NEAR CENTERVILLE. ZOOMING OUT YOU COULD SEE MORE
RAIN CHANCES TO THE SOUTHWEST. MUCH OF US TO THE NORTH ARE
STOCKTON UNDER THIS CLOUD COVER. EVENTUALLY WE ARE GOING TO SEE A
FRONT DRAG ITSELF ACROSS THE
STATE. THAT WILL BE THE CATALYST FOR
SOME SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. MAINLY OVERNIGHT TONIGHT AND
INTO TOMORROW MORNING. BEHIND THAT WE ARE FINALLY
TALKING ABOUT AN EXTENDED PERIOD
OF SUNSHINE. IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR BETTER
DAYS TO DO STUFF, MAYBE
YARDWORK, IT’S LOOKING BETTER ON
SUNDAY AND MONDAY. YOU CAN SEE EVEN FURTHER TO THE
WEST, WITH MORE CLOUDS OUT HERE. BILLINGS, NEAR BISMARCK, THAT’S
EVENTUALLY GOING TO TAP INTO
SOME WARMER AIR FROM THAT AREA. BUT STILL, LOCKED IN UNDER THE
COLD, 58 AT 4:00, CLOUDS START
TO BUILD INTO THE EVENING,
OVERCAST SKIES, NO BIG CHANCES
FOR RAIN. INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS WE
START TO HIKE UP THOSE CHANCES
AND BRING IN THE CHANCE FOR HALF
AN INCH OF RAIN. CANNOT RULE OUT AN ISOLATED
SHOWER. LOOK AT HOW ACTIVE THINGS GET
INTO THE OVERNIGHT. DON’T BE SURPRISED IF YOU HEAR
SOME BOOMS. THE MAINLINE WILL MOVE IN FROM
10:00 TO NOON. IF YOU HAVE OUTDOOR PLANS, YOU
WILL PROBABLY BE FIGHTING SOME
SOGGY SURFACES BUT CLOUDS WILL
EVENTUALLY CLEAR OUT. THAT’S A GOOD THING FOR US FOR
THE REST OF OUR SATURDAY. FOR HOW MUCH RAIN YOU CAN
EXPECT, AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE
WHOLE SYSTEM ANYWHERE FROM HALF
AN INCH TO 1.5 INCHES DEPENDING
UPON THE HEAVY RAINMAKERS. PLAN ON A GENERALLY SAUDI
SATURDAY — SOGGY SATURDAY. WHETHER CHANCES WILL REMAIN LOW
AND OFF TO THE SOUTHWESTERN
PORTION OF THE STATE. NOT LOOKING AT ANYTHING TOO BIG
OF A DEAL BESIDES SOME LOCALLY
HEAVY RAINFALL AND SPOTS. YOUR FORECAST OUT THERE FOR
TODAY, ISOLATED SHOWERS LATE, 68
IS THE AVERAGE HIGH. SITTING IN AT 59 FOR A HIGH
TODAY, THE CHANCE FOR SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS ROLLING
THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT AND THAT
WILL STICK AROUND FOR TOMORROW. IF YOU ARE HEADING OUT TO THE
FARMERS MARKET, BRING A PONCHO
OR UMBRELLA. AS WE LOOK AT THE EXTENDED
FORECAST, WE ARE SITTING IN THE
