A seldom ridden XC trail: Ben and Jerry’s || Burnaby Mountain, BC | Mountain Biking

Hi everyone and welcome back. Hope you enjoyed last weeks special video
as I bombed down Burnaby Mountain from the top to bottom with my neighbour to celebrate
one year on YouTube. While on that ride, we ended up going down
this trail: Ben and Jerry’s. It has been about 10 years since I last hit
this trail because while it’s a good cross country trail, it leads to absolutely nowhere
other than an enormous steep uphill to get back to civilization. Seems like I’m not the only who hasn’t ridden
this in a while though, as a lot of the features are crumbling unfortunately and it’s very
much going back to being a natural trail where roots and brush rule. Having said that, the trail was running a
lot smoother than I remember likely because of there were so many leaves on the ground
which kind of smoothed out the square edge hits and dips in the trail. This trail begins right at the north end of
the Dead Moped trail and continues northward down the mountain. If you’ve got an XC bike and some time on
your hands to go explore a trail you’ve probably never ridden, it’s probably worth hitting. If you only love downhill you’re probably
better off going to the ice cream store and getting some edible Ben and Jerry’s instead. Until next time, sit back and enjoy the ride!
